Investments and corporate accountability in Africa

CSRSC (South Africa), SOMO (The Netherlands) with support of the Dutch MVO Platform are organising the three-day conference 'Investments and corporate accountability in Africa' form 21 -23 October in Johannesburg.
The conference offers an opportunity to exchange information and strategies on international companies and investments in Africa and their impact. The intention is to use the conference to
develop a joint analysis on certain corporate responsibility and accountability issues in the African context, which in turn may lead to joint or complementary strategies.
The conference will bring together different organisations (e.g. researchers, activists, NGO’s, trade unions etc) working towards greater corporate accountability and transparency in the
interests of people and groups affected by investments in the region. The main objective is to strengthen the campaigning and research that is done by them in order to foster corporate
accountability and CSR in Africa.
