BWI - Business Watch Indonesia
The Business Watch Indonesia is a NGO based in Solo, Central Java and which was established in September 2002. Driven by the understanding that the societal power has shifted from the state apparatus authority to the economic groups and business communities in local and global level, The BWI is established and aimed at mainly cultivating possibilities of steps to democratize the exercise of economic power and governance. In order to reach this goal, the BWI 1) builds accountability of the business power, 2) facilitate public participation towards democratic economic governance, and 3) promotes fair business practices.
