In the early 80s IBASE was founded, a non-partisan and non-religious institution dedicated to democratize information on the economic, political and social reality in Brazil. The objectives of IBASE are to prioritize equality - especially gender and race equality - and democratic and sustainable human development. Their activities are research, campaigning, projects on democracy, food safety, and social responsibility.
