IGJ - Institute for Global Justice
The Institute for Global Justice (IGJ) is a small NGO dedicated to research and policy advocacy around international trade. It works in Jakarta and focuses primarily on following the trade negotiations between Indonesia and other countries and ASEAN integration (the consequences for agriculture-economic policies). It analyses the impact of these processes on the rural poor (mostly agriculture related). IGJ creates awareness around these issues among the general public and among NGOs. It also has regular dialogues with government on these issues. IGJ is seen as the NGO that specialises on this topic. IGJ is also a member of SAPA (an ASEAN accredited international network of NGOs, put in place to follow and monitor ASEAN processes).
