LaRRI - Labour Resource & Research Institute

The primary challenges of Labour Reseource & Research Institute (LaRRI) were to improve workers' lives through collective bargaining and devise strategies to influence broader socio-economic policies in favour of their constituency. To meet these and other challenges, they had to address a wide range of complex research and training needs.

The institute aims to assist the Namibian labour movement in building its capacity by means of :
1) collecting, updating and releasing information in an accessible form
2) establishing and maintaining a database on the Namibian economy and wage developments
3) designing and undertaking education programmes for trade unions
4) assisting the labour movement to develop comprehensive policy proposals
5) providing a platform for discussions on labour and socio-economic issues
6) providing a resource centre covering a range of socio-economic and political issues for trade unions, NGOs and students
