Irene Keizer is a member of the management team and a manager of the programme teams at SOMO.

Before joining SOMO, she worked 13 years for Aidsfonds (Aids fund), also as a member of the management team. At Aidsfonds she focused on advocacy and on making grants to advocacy networks and research institutes. Before that she worked for the (Dutch) Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports on medical ethical issues, such as euthanasia.

She holds a master in Law and a bachelor’s in Political Science.
