CSR behaviour of MNO’s in global ICT supply chain Philippines
A research project of Philippine Resource Centre – Manila in cooperation with SOMO
This report is a sector study on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector focusing on Company Social Responsibility (CSR) issues in the Philippines. Part of this SOMO research are company studies on Philippine-based MNC subsidiaries Acer-Wistron Infocomm Corp. and Fujitsu Computer Products Corp. of the Philippines. These companies have large market shares in Europe, especially in the Netherlands. SOMO engaged the services of the Philippine Resource Centre – Manila (PRC-Manila) to undertake the research in the Philippines. The CSR Frame of Reference and The UN Human Rights Norms for Business are the instruments used to evaluate the behavior of the identified multinational corporations.
