Monday, October 23, 2017, the third session of the open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Transnational Corporations (IGWG) started in Geneva. Countries and NGO’s from around the world come together between 23 to 27 October, to negotiate on the text of a new international treaty to protect human rights against corporate human rights abuses. On Monday, several NGO’s, besides country-representatives, made statements during this meeting. One of the statements made by NGO’s was the statement of CIDSE, which represented several NGO’s including Brot für die Welt, CCFD, Terre Solidaire, Entraide et Fraternité, Global Policy Forum, MISEREOR and SOMO.
