Joanna Cabello
Senior Researcher
Joanna Cabello is a senior researcher on climate justice. She has broad experience investigating and campaigning around climate, environmental and social justice issues.
Before joining SOMO, she researched corporate threats to forest territories, especially climate policy-related ones, while accompanying communities’ resistance processes at the World Rainforest Movement and other organisations.
Joanna holds a Master’s degree in ‘Politics of Alternative Development’ from the Institute for Social Studies in The Hague, where she studied as a grant holder from the Huygens programme, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications for Development from the University of Lima, Peru.
