On October 2th, the elements (or building blocks) for such a binding Treaty were published by the open-ended Inter-Governmental Working Group (IGWG), which is tasked with coordinating the treaty process. In response to this publication, a group on European NGO’s drafted a statement calling upon European States to prepare for and constructively engage in the upcoming negotiations. SOMO undersigned this statement.
